Accessibility statement
The platform's commitment to WCAG 2.2 AA, what is met and what remains, and how to reach us about any barrier.
Our commitment
The Arbitration and Dispute Resolution Centre of the Gaza Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture is committed to a platform that every party, neutral and visitor can use — including people who rely on a screen reader, on the keyboard alone, or on their own contrast and zoom settings.
We work to level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2), and every release is re-checked by automated gates that stop what has been achieved from regressing.
What you will find
Keyboard navigation: every link, button and field can be reached with the Tab key in a sensible order, with a visible focus ring, and a “skip to content” link at the top of every page.
Screen readers: icon-only buttons carry a spoken name, tables keep their column headings on a phone too, fields are tied to their labels, and status messages are announced.
Contrast and size: text and background colours are held to a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1, colour alone never carries a meaning, and pages adapt to browser zoom up to 200% without horizontal scrolling.
Direction and language: the platform is built for Arabic, read from right to left, first and mirrors completely when English is chosen; each page declares its direction and language to the browser.
Printed documents: notices, minutes and decisions print as real, machine-readable text, not as images.
Known limitations
Some documents in the legal library are scanned PDFs; a readable text layer is being added progressively, and some may remain images until that is complete.
Case attachments uploaded by parties are shown as uploaded, and the centre cannot guarantee their accessibility.
Some charts on the administrative dashboards are summarised by an accompanying table rather than a spoken description of every point.
Tell us about a barrier
If you meet a page, document or step you cannot use, write to info@adr.gazacham.ps and tell us the page, what you were trying to do and the assistive technology you use.
We reply within five working days and, where needed, provide another way to complete the same step: a text version of a document, filing through the centre's secretariat, or a telephone appointment.
A party to a running proceeding loses no procedural right because of a barrier on the platform; tell the secretariat and it will be recorded in the case file.
